If you are interested to venture deeper into the mountains and enjoy the beautiful winter nights (fingers crossed), then you can consider our Winter Camp experience – across multiple locations from Hakuba, Central Nagano & Yatsugatake Ranges, enjoy the adventure of hiking into the alpine wilderness and the charm of a night in the outdoors.
Japan Snowshoe Tours

If you are in Hakuba, Myoko or surrounds and interested in snowshoe trekking, or non-skiers that want to explore!. Visit the snowy mountain summits, frozen lakes and waterfalls or secluded shrines around Nagano.

All necessary items can be provided including outdoor wear, snowshoes and safety equipment.

Important: Participants should be prepared and comfortable to be exposed to the winter weather elements and minus 0ºC temperatures for up to 5 hrs
Gear: Participants must have appropriate outer & inner winter clothing & winter boots

Winter Camping Experience
Experience the natural winter nights camping out in the snow
A truly unique and interesting experience to spend a night camping in the quite snow covered mountains!
Don't worry about getting cold – with sub-zero temperature winter sleeping bags on thermal mats and winter alpine tents – along with a hot fire and cup of cacao will keep you warm!
Please make an enquiry if you are interested in this experience and we cater for private trips from 2 people up to 6 people total.
If the idea of camping is a bit too much, we also have multiple locations with winter lodges and huts that are open and with easy access via gondola OR also with hiking access.
